Nigeria: INEC Letter Punctures Agagu's Witness's Testimony

Akure — The testimony of one of the witnesses of Dr Olusegun Agagu that election was held peacefully in Akure North Local Government was yesterday punctured by a letter from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirming the incidents of ballot box snatching tendered before the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Akure.

The letter which had earlier been admitted as exhibit by the Justice Garba Nabaruma-led panel, was re -presented by the legal team of Dr Olusegun Mimiko of the Labour Party during cross examination of a witness Mr Bello Yekini who testified on oath that he observed a well organized voting exercise.
