THE Office of First Lady Penehufipo Pohamba, in coordination with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, has sponsored nine women entrepreneurs to attend the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.

The fair, which starts today and ends on Saturday, will take place in Bulawayo.

"The women entrepreneurs have been drawn from seven income- generating projects from the Omaheke, Kavango, Erongo, Hardap, Khomas and Otjozondjupa regions.

Both the Office of the First Lady and the Ministry view the participation of these upcoming entrepreneurs as very important, because it will provide a rare opportunity for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products," said a media release from the Gender Equality Ministry issued on Saturday.

The Namibian women will display handmade products for home décor, traditional attire and necklaces, woodcrafts, cosmetics and many other products.
