Last Saturday was a scene of a major fire outbreak at the Exclusive Supermarket located on Carey and Center Streets in Monrovia.

The cause of the fire is not yet known as the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) and other parties concerned are said to be investigating the mysterious fire incident.

Our reporter who went to the scene narrated that he saw thick black smoke oozing out of the building when the fire gutted it.

While there, employees and other rescue workers were seen running helter-skelter in search of sand and water in a bid to quench the blazing fire.

In the process several commodities were destroyed prior to the intervention of a private water company and the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS).

However it is not yet known as to the actual cost of the items which got destroyed in a twinkle of an eye.

Meanwhile, authorities of the LNFS who spoke to the press immediately when the fire was extinguished said they could not really tell the actual cause of the fire. Investigation continues.
