Angola: Soccer - Asa Acquire Brazilian Striker

22 April 2008

Luanda — Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) have bought Brazilian striker Diego Zaporo, aiming for improvements in the second round of the national soccer championship's first division.

The athlete, aged 32, played in the Portuguese first division for Vitória de Setúbal and Beira Mar.

Diego Zaporo worked with ASA during the team's training in the Brazilian city of São Paulo and will only be able to join the club in June.

This contract increases the options of coach Manuel Fernandes, who also has in his squad the Zambian Band and the Angolan Massinga, Igor, Reginaldo and Beto.

ASA occupy the sixth position in Girabola with twelve points, eight below Petro de Luanda, the current championship leaders.
