Angolan Parliament approves temporary suspension of mandate of ruling MPLa party's MP, Tany Narciso

Angola's National Assembly (Parliament) Tuesday in Luanda unanimously approved the suspension of the mandate of the ruling MPLA party's MP, Victor Nataniel de Oliveira Narciso, over incompatibility of functions.

The MP was in March this year appointed administrator of Luanda's Cazenga high density district, which is a position incompatible with the post of MP.

Attending a plenary session of the National Assembly, the MPs are also discussing a resolution on citizens' illegal possession of firearms, as well as a petition for authorisation for the Government to legislate on the Road Traffic regulation and on the project of alteration to the Law 5/94 , on Penal Military Justice.

Part of the agenda of the MPs session is also the Bill on alterations to the Law 3/05 of July, the "Electoral Registration Law" and the draft on alteration to the composition of the provincial commissions and of the district electoral offices.
