The acclaimed queen of Gospel Tebogo "Tebbie" Sethomo's hit-song Leba kwano continues to gain popularity among Gospel and non Gospel lovers after being used in the Botswana Police Services, television programme Itshireletse.

The song lifted from the songstress' second album Khubama, is used as background music for the programme aired on Botswana television on Sunday evenings.

Itshireletse is loved by families for its exciting drama actions displayed by the police officers.

In an interview Tebbie said she was delighted when the Police' Public Relations Unit approached her to use the song.

"I am honoured especially that they found my music not only entertaining but heavily messaged and able to help others repent,' he said.

She said it is the recognition that artistes have been crying for and said she is hoping that local producers will follow suit and use local music in their productions.

Tebbie said this will also show the society that artistes have a role to play in the community.

"That is why I did not see the reason of charging them for using my work, acknowledging me is enough," she said.

PRU spokesperson Near Bagali stated that the song has a strong message for divine intervention from the Almighty, and said 'Leba Kwano' will be used in conjunction with footage of acted scenes of murder or passion killings to show the magnitude of the problem.
