Wanderers beat their arch-enemies United by 42 runs to win the MTC Cricket Premier League title on Saturday.

Wanderers batted first and scored 267 for 6 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.

Opening batsman Louis Vorster was their top batsman, scoring 81 runs, while Danie Keulder contributed 52 and Bjorn Kotze 42 runs.

Johan Geldenhuys was United's best bowler, taking 4 wickets for 46 runs off 10 overs.

JB Burger got United off to a good start with 44 runs, but he didn't receive much support from the rest of their top order.

Louis Burger added 34 while tail ender Hendrik Geldenhuys top scored with 55, as United were all out for 225 runs.

Wanderers' best bowlers were Gerrie Snyman (3/37 off seven overs), Louis Klazinga (3/43 off 10 overs) and Bernard Scholtz (3/17 off six overs).
