Ndalatando — The governor of the northern Kwanza-Norte province, Henrique Junior on Tuesday said that the inauguration of the region's Medium Agrarian Institute meets the goals of the population that aim at turning agriculture into a springboard of the reconstruction and re-launching of the local economy.
Henrique Junior was speaking in Ndalatando at the inauguration ceremony of the aforementioned infrastructure, located in Camuaxi, 13 kilometres off Ndalatando, sponsored by China Eximbank.
In his opinion, the institute will raise the region to the top of provinces that can be proud of having an agricultural potential capable of contributing to the improvement of the population's living conditions.
The USD 20 million-institute has 20 classrooms, three boarding houses, 17 residences for teachers, parking lot for agricultural machines, workshops and a five-a-side football field.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the minister of Education, Antonio Burity da Silva, and was attended by local government officials and religious entities.
