The ambassador of Israel to Angola, Avrahan Benjamin bid farewell this Wednesday, here, to the Angolan prime minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, expressing satisfaction at the country's social and economic development.

Speaking to the press at the end of the audience with the country's premier, Avrahan Benjamin said it was a courtesy meeting meant to bid farewell to the Angola government official due to the end of his diplomatic mission that started in October 2005.

The diplomat added that issues concerning the cooperation relations between both countries, in various sectors, were analysed during the meeting.

Both countries cooperate in the fields of agriculture, education, health, telecommunications, diamonds, security and construction.

Angola and Israel recently signed a trade agreement.
