Luanda — The Cape Verdean minister of Agriculture and Environment, Maria Madalena das Naves travelled this Wednesday morning to the northern Malange province to visit the Kapanda agro-industrial growthpoint, as well as to get acquainted with the progress of activities carried out.

Accompanied by his Angolan counterpart, Afonso Pedro Kanga, the Cape Verdean official will assess "in loco" the development of Pungo Andongo farm, at Kapanda growthpoint.

The delegation is expected to return to the Angolan capital (Luanda) this Wednesday.

Maria Madalena das Neves, who arrived in the country on April 20, will end this Wednesday her official visit to Angola, meant to reinforce the bilateral cooperation.

According to her visit programme, cooperation protocols between Angola and Cape Verde in the sectors of agriculture, cattle-breeding and scientific research are expected to be signed.

Economic relations between both countries began in 1978. Meanwhile, from Thursday, the Cape Verdean official will participate in the meetings of Environment Ministers of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP), to happen on April 24, in Luanda.
