Dubarwa

Five different service-rendering facilities have been put in place in the Dubarwa sub-zone at a cost of about 37 million Nakfa.

The projects that were jointly undertaking by the Southern Region Administration, the general public and partners in the villages of Takita, Gula and Tera-Emni include the construction of a micro-dam with a capacity of holding over 3 million cubic meters, a kindergarten and a health center, as well as projects for the provision of potable water and electric power supply.

The Administrator of the region, Mr. Mustafa Nurhusein, who inaugurated the facilities, noted that the farming community in the area would now be in a position to cultivate over 1,200 hectares and harvest three times a year through utilizing waters from the newly constructed micro-dam. He further expressed appreciation to those government institutions and partners that made due contribution in the implementation the projects.
