Eritrea: We Are Highly Impressed By the Eritrean People's Culture And Harmony, Malaysian Tourists Say

A 17-member visiting group of Malaysian tourists said that they have been highly impressed by the Eritrean people's culture and harmony. Stating that they have visited Asmara, Keren and Massawa, the tourists expressed admiration to Eritrea's natural charm and the prevailing peace and security.
One of the visitors, Mr. Victor Low, who had visited 50 countries, indicated that the group of Malaysian tourists is visiting Eritrea for the first time and stated that he was impressed by the neatness of the urban centers and salubrious weather. The prevailing peace and security in Eritrea enable any visitor to move freely and, as such, it is the country's unique blessing, he added.
Another Malaysian visitor, Ms. Kit Har Cheah, stated that Eritrea's spectacular landscape is a major tourist attraction in itself. Noting that her attitude to Africa was negatively influenced due to the distorted picture portrayed in western television stations, she explained that the reality in Eritrea is, however, to the contrary.
Mr. Cheah Sum Beng on his part lauded the hospitality of the Eritrean people and stated that he found Eritrea a country that positively influenced his perception about Africa. He reminded others to personally witness the beauty of Eritrea.

Still another Malaysian tourist, Mr. Philip Chay, highly appraised the fact that churches and mosques exist side by side in Eritrea and stated that this reflects the coexistence and harmony of religions in the country and, as such, is exemplary to others.
Similarly, a 70-year old Malaysian national, Chua Yew Beng, who had visited more than 140 countries, said that he was highly impressed by the prevailing peace and security in Eritrea which is rare in a number of countries.
Likewise, Mr. Kelvin Yeap stated that the asphalted road networks in Eritrea are impressive achievements compared to other African countries.
