Determined to give a good account of himself at the forthcoming Beijing Olympics, Nigeria's Uche Chukwumerije Jnr, has intensified his training by moving from London to Asia.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Chukwumerije won gold medals in taekwondo at the 8th All Africa Games in 2003 and at the Algiers Games in 2007.
Jonathan Nnaji, Vice President of Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria (TAN), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Lagos that Chukwumerije was determined to excel at the Games in August.
Nnaji said the player decided to move to the unnamed Asian country as he wanted to win a gold in Beijing.
NAN reports that Asia is the home of martial arts, comprising judo, karate, taekwondo and kung-fu, among others.
The player who began his training for the Olympics in the U.S., later moved to London from where he has now located to Asia.
"Chukwumerije has rounded off his training in London and has since relocated to Asia,"Nnaji said.
He refused to disclose the exact location of the player as he described it as the TAN's strategy to keep Chukwumerije's opponents
in Beijing in the dark.
"We are not going to mention the exact country in Asia, but I assure you that his training is on course," Nnaji said.

Nnaji said Chukwumerije was joined in Asia by Isah Adams who was denied an American visa for the first phase of training in the U.S.
He said the federation was in constant touch with both players who are being guided by Asian trainer.
Both players also qualified for the Beijing Games at the African Taekwondo Championship held in Tripoli, Libya in 2007.
