Following the draw for the 2008 U23 Olympic football competition in China, Nigeria football fans have expressed high optimism that the Dream Team IV will survive their opponents in the group.

John Brown, a business man at Wuse market, said Holland is the only tough team in the group, adding "we will scale through to the second round because we have experience players like Nsofor, Ike Uche and the rest. I know they will deliver."

He said the participation of the Nigerian team in the last three editions of the competition is an added advantage for them.

Ibrahim Jimoh, a Quantity Surveyor, extolled the qualities of coach Samson Siaisia. "We have a very coach so he can do better. He has been in it before. The players need early camping in order to have a team work' he said.

On his part, Mr. Henry Okereke, who is a civil servant, noted that with the qualities of players Nigeria will be able to do better and qualify from the group.

"My advise to the NFA is to make sure that the players are properly taken care of in terms of their welfare so that they will deliver their best," he admonished.

While expressing his optimism that the U23 team will qualify from the group, Musa Mohammed a student suggested for early camping for the players. "I think they should stay together like they did Holland 2005," he added.

Victor Okubo, a student, said the Nigerian team has a very good chance to come out from the group, stressing that, he doesn't see any strong team in the group that will pose a great threat to them.

"The rest of the countries in the group are not as strong as Nigeria but they should not just look down on them. They should take them very seriously" he advised.
