Luanda — The Luanda Provincial Committee of the governing MPLA party will hold on Saturday its extraordinary conference, in the framework of the preparation of the third National Conference of this political organisation, which is scheduled for 09-10 May.

According to a press note received by ANGOP, the delegates to the meeting will discuss and present suggestions relating to the preparation of the party for the legislative elections set for next September.

The document informs that the delegates will also present their contributions to enrich the MPLA's programme of governance for the 2009/2012 period.

The event is to be attended by the delegates that were elected from the municipal and communal conferences, as well as by members of the party's Central Committee and Provincial Committee, including representatives of the organisation's female and youth wings.
