The cross-examination of the prosecution witness (PW7), Sub-Inspector Kalilu Sanneh, who headed the patrol team, continued on Monday, 21 April, before Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara at the Bundung Magistrates' Court.

During the cross-examination, Defence Counsel Lamin Camara reminded the witness of an order by the court to produce his certificates and documents. PW7 told the court that he brought his certificates. The certificates were inspected by the defence counsel and later passed on to the magistrate.

The defence counsel said that the court ordered PW7 to produce his certificates and documents, but that the witness failed to do so. PW7 told the court that he speaks Mandinka and sometimes Jola with his superiors. He said that in their unit, there is someone employed to write and take records for them. Sub-Inspector Sanneh maintained that since his employment, he never wrote a statement on his own.

The defence Counsel Lamin Camara told the court that since PW7 is working for a public institution, he would request for his appointment letter and application form to be produced before the court.
