Brave Warriors coach Arie Schans has called up several new players to the Brave Warriors squad in preparation for their African Nations Championship match against Zimbabwe in Harare next Sunday, May 4.

Civics goalkeeper Esau Tjiouro gets a call-up after some good performances in the league, while Ramblers defender Luther Kanalelo is recalled to the squad after an absence of a few months.

In midfield, Civics' Victor Helu and Pirates' Johannes Seibeb are recalled to the squad after lengthy absences, while strikers Arend von Stryk of Cymot SKW and Edward Damaseb of Mighty Gunners are also called up.

Schans will arrive in Namibia from Holland this morning and will travel to Mariental this weekend to watch the MTC NFA Cup quarter-final matches.

The national team will go into camp next week in preparation for the match against Zimbabwe.

Namibian squad is as follows: Goalkeepers: Athiel Mbaha, Esau Tjiuoro.

Defenders: Chris Katjiukua, Michael Pienaar, Gottlieb Nakuta, Jamu Ngatjizeko, Steven Goaxab, Luther Kanalelo, Jeremia Baisako.

Midfielders: Tobias Mekondjo, Victor Helu, Brian Brendell, Tugela Tuyeni, Da Costa Angula, Johannes Seibeb.

Strikers: Pineas Jacob, Arend von Stryk, Muna Katupose, Floris Diergaardt, Edward Damaseb.
