President George W. Bush's special envoy to Angola, the US assistant secretary of State for African Affairs, Jendayi Frazer left Luanda this Saturday morning on her way to Lusaka (Zambia), where she will continue with her tour through countries of the continent's southern region.
The assistant secretary, who arrived in Angola early Friday afternoon, was received in an audience by President José Eduardo dos Santos, to whom she handed over a message of the U.S. statesman, intended for his Angolan counterpart.
Speaking to the press at the airport, the USA envoy informed that her meeting with Angolan authorities happened in a "very productive manner" as she had the opportunity to share ideas under the reinforcement of bilateral relations, as well as discuss about the situation prevailing in the region, in general, and in Zimbabwe, in particular.
In this framework, Jendayi Frazer announced that Angolan and American authorities agreed on working together to find a peaceful solution to the post-electoral crisis being registered in that SADC member State.
The American special envoy visited the country on the sidelines of her tour through some countries of this region of the continent, having already visited South Africa and Angola, and Zambia marks the last phase of her trip.
During her short stay in the country, the US official met with various Angolan government entities, with which she analysed aspects concerning bilateral cooperation.

At the airport, Jendayi Frazer received farewell greetings from the US ambassador accredited in Angola, Dan W. Mozena, and senior officials of the referred diplomatic mission.
