Malanje — A delegation of the Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Electoral Process (CIPE), addressed by the deputy minister of Territory Administration, Edeltrudes Costa, pays this Saturday a visit to the Kapanda hydroelectric project, located at 144 kilometres west of Malanje city, northern province with the same number.
The delegation comprises of deputy governors, national directors of the Territory Administration Ministry and representatives of the Provincial Executive Commissions for the Electoral Process (CEPPE) who are in Malanje since Friday.
In the region, the delegation is analysing, among other topics, the electoral registration updating process, the supervision of political parties, civic education campaigns and the intervention of partners of the government (churches, NGOs and the civil society) in the process.
The officials, accompanied by the provincial governor of Malanje, Cristóvão da Cunha, will get acquainted with the functioning of this hydroelectric project intended to supply electricity to the provinces of Malanje, Kwanza Norte, Kwanza Sul, Uíge and Luanda, and others.
In proceeding with their work agenda, the team will will also visit the Pungo-Andongo agro-industrial growthpoint to learn about its contribution to the social and economic growth of Angola, in general, and of Malanje, in particular.
