Angola: Home Ministry Announces Reinforcement for Elections

Angola's Home Affairs minister, Roberto Leal Monteiro "Ngongo" Friday announced, in Huambo city, that the central organs and the provincial delegations of his sector shall be reinforced with human and material resources to guarantee a worthy securing of the legislative elections in the country, scheduled for next September.
The government official said so during the closing ceremony of the Broad Consultative Council of the Home Affairs Ministry held in central Huambo city from April 22 to 25.
According to the official, during the current year, besides the daily tasks, the Home Ministry (Minint) will have important responsibilities in the political, social and institutional sector with highlight to the guarantee of the public order and tranquillity, as well as during the electoral and post-electoral periods.
For this purpose, the official defended the need to reinforce the organ with the necessary human and material resources for the proper performance of specific mission during this period of great responsibility for the ministry.
On the other hand the official outlined that the holding of the consultative council in Huambo province is part of the following up of local initiatives by that ministry.

The action plan for the current year was approved during the consultative council that was attended by officials of the central organ and provincial delegates of the Home Affairs Ministry.
