Luanda — Angola's Health deputy minister, José Van-Dúnem, will represent the country at the international conference of the World Health Organization (WHO)'s Regional Office for Africa, scheduled for 28-30 April, in Ougadougou (Burkina Faso), in which it will be renewed the commitment to primary health care.
The conference coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Alma Ata Declaration on Primary Health Care (PHC) and the 60th anniversary of WHO, and aims to revitalize primary health care and health systems development in African countries, to achieve the health related Millennium Development Goals.
More than 500 participants from Africa and other continents are expected at the conference to be opened by Burkina Faso's President, Blaise Compaore.
