Angola: Girabola's Ninth Round Continues With Three Matches

Luanda — Three matches are scheduled for Sunday, namely in Huambo, Luena and Dundo cities, in continuation of if the first division championship (Girabola 2008)'s ninth round, which opened on Friday.

In the capital city of the central Huambo Province, Petro do Huambo, standing last with four points, will be visited by Atletico Sport Aviação (ASA), standing in position six with 12.

Luena City will host the matches between FC Bravos do Maquis of the eastern Moxico Province versus Benfica do Lubango, 13th and 12th positioned both with six points.

Sagrada Esperança of the northeastern Lunda Norte Province (standing ninth with eight points) will receive Desportivo da Huíla, tenth positioned with seven points.

In the opening of the round, last Friday, 1º de Agosto drew (0-0) with Benfica de Luanda, whereas on Saturday, Petro-Atletico de Luanda consolidated the leadership, now with 23 points, after beating Kabuscorp do Palanca by 1-0.

On the other hand, Recreativo de Libolo also drew (1-1) at home with Santos FC de Luanda.

The match between 1º de Maio de Benguela and Interclube was postponed, due to the involvement of Interclube in the African champions cup.
