Angola: Public Television's Camama Project First Phase Ends July

The first phase of the Angola Public Television (TPA)'s production centre construction, located in Camama ward, Kilamba Kiaxi District (Luanda), will be concluded in July, ANGOP learnt.

The guarantee was given by the projects director of the Chinese construction firm CIEC, A. R Jiangtão, to the Angolan Social Communication minister, Manuel Rabelais, at the end of a visit to the infrastructures of support to Angola National Radio (RNA), Jornal de Angola newspaper and TPA.

During the visit, a delegation made up of officials from various state-owned social communication organs inspected one of the finished blocks, which includes an administrative sector, production area and two 400 square-meter studios.

The studios are equipped with four production cameras, mobile seats with about one hundred places, sound system as well as lighting.

The contract that started in May of 2005 employs 280 Angolan and 200 Chinese workers.

The project includes a broadcasting centre in Viana District, where a tower satellite of 150 meters has been installed.
