African Alliance Insurance Company Limited has said that its strive to meet global standard in the settlement of claims would place it at an advantage as the preferred life insurer in the Nigerian Insurance market and beyond.

To achieve the objective, a new board of directors has been constituted to re-define the place of African Alliance in the nation's life insurance business.

He further stated that African Alliance is an independent company and not a subsidiary of any firm, adding that it would remain a brand name in the business of insurance within and outside the country.

Speaking further on the company's record over the years, the chairman said African Alliance has got an unblemished history of 48 years of successful underwriting, creating value to lives and people and urged the public to capitalise on our experience of 48 years and combine it with modern ICT, professionalism and enhanced human capital to add value to our numerous customers.

He further pledged that the company would be more transparent and visible in the market place, adding that plans had been perfected to expand its portfolio to accommodate other investment interests.
