Unta national trade union representative to Benguela Province, José Joaquim Laurindo, on Monday in Lobito City said that in the last six years it has been observed improvements in working conditions in various enterprises, emphasising the education and health sectors, as result of the investments being made by the government.
Speaking to ANGOP, ahead of the commemorations of the May 1 date (International Workers Day), the unionist said that the construction of more class-rooms and their equipping help teachers feel more comfortable in exercising their tasks, the same investment happens in the health sector with the building of medical centres and posts, strengthening the activities of the staff.
He believes that working conditions, teaching quality in schools and the assistance in hospital units have improved considerably.
Without mentioning other enterprises, the unionist said that there are sectors, mainly those linked to industry and construction, which offer less security to their employees.
He also underlines the fact that the government has adopted in various enterprises constant staff training, which is fundamental to upgrade their skills and knowledge.
He regrets the salary which is far from its real value, despite the increase and readjustments that the government have been doing almost every year.

The official believes that as long as economic growth is noted in the country, workers social conditions shall also change.
