Angola: Huíla - Authorities Report 12 New Cases of Cholera

Lubango

At least twelve cases of cholera were registered at the weekend in the districts of Chibia and Lubango, by the provincial department of public health and diseases control in southern Huila province.

Speaking to Angop on Monday, in Lubango city, the head of Great Diseases and Emergency Section of Public Health department, Félix Januário, said that nine cases had occurred in Lubango district and three in Chibia.

In the same period, 11 patients had been discharged and 26 others are still receiving medical aid in treatment centres of Lubango and Chibia.
