Rwanda's opponents in the 2010 World/Africa qualifiers, Morocco are set to announce a new coach for their national football this week, the country's football association has confirmed.
According to Reuters, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) confirmed the development over the weekend but the identity of the yet to be appointed coach has not been given.
The post has been vacant since Frenchman Henri Michel was fired shortly after a disappointing African Nations Cup finals tournament in Ghana.
The Atlas Lions beat Namibia 5-1 in their opening fixture but lost their final two matches and failed to qualify from their group.
Frenchman Michel, 60, was in his second spell as boss of Morocco after being appointed in August 2007 following the dismissal of M'Hamed Fakhir.
In March, Morocco named a shortlist of candidates; all drawn from within the country, and set and a date to announce the new coach but then postponed it without any explanation.

However, care-taker coach Fathi Jamal guided Morocco to a 4-1win over Belgium in last month's build up fixture ahead of the 2010 Fifa/Can qualifiers. The new coach will have just weeks to prepare his side for the start of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Morocco host Ethiopia on May 31 in their first group match and play Mauritania on June 7 before facing Rwanda on June 13 in Kigali other group matches.
Still in group eight, other countries have appointed foreign coaches to guide them through the 2010 World and Africa Cup qualifiers.
