Angola: Football - CAF Inspection Team Complete

Luanda — Five more inspectors of the African Football Confederation (CAF), arrived Tuesday in Luanda, joining the team tasked with evaluating the accomplishment of the specifications for the organisation of the African Cup of Nations (CAV-2010).

The just arrived delegation comprises Mohamed Raouraoua, chirman of Algeria Federation, Amr Fahmy, CAF secretariat member, Akki Iddriss, president of Sporfive, Francis Graille, his deputy, Damien Delvaque and Laila Garga, from the same institution.

The team that was welcomed at the Luanda "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport by Angolan Federation (FAF) chairman, Justino Fernandes, will work in the country for eight days, with trips to the provinces of Benguela, Cabinda and Huíla, which, along with Luanda, will host CAN games.

After approving the working agenda at a meeting between the inspectors and members of the CAN Organising Committee (Cocan), the parties will analyse the progress so far scored in the construction of the stadiums and the preliminary reports on the situation of the provinces hosting the games.

The inspectors will also visit the Luanda site where the stadium will be built, assess the TV broadcasting facilities, view the telecommunication firm Angola-Telecom and sanitary units.

The organisation of the 27th edition of the CAN set to take place in Angola, has so far been inspected by CAF officials, led by their leader, Issa Hayatou.
