Angola: Disarming Commission Analyses Strategy of Sensitising Citizens

The national commission of disarming citizen under the illegal possession of firearms is gathered this Tuesday, here, to analyse, among other issues, the strategy of information, sensitisation and education.

Being presided over by the prime minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, the meeting is also debating the view point of the situation on the citizens' disarmament programme.

The agenda includes the assessment of the regulation of the national commission.

Various Ministries, the chief of staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), senior officers of the National Police's general command and representatives of defence and national security organs are part of the commission.

The national commission was recently created by an official dispatch of the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.
