A former police officer who was respected for combating crimes, especially armed robbery, has been reinstated into the Liberia National Police.
According to undeniable sources, the decision was taken by the Police administration, reinstating Officer Yekeh Kolubah into the services of the organization and is now assigned at the Anti-Robbery Unit of the Crime Services Department. Mr. Kolubah's reinstatement takes immediate effect.
It can be recalled that Yekeh who once served the LNP was feared for his 'no nonsense' style of tracking down armed robbers and desperate criminals in the country.
The wave of crimes especially armed robbery has been on the increase for almost a year now and many believe that the reinstatement of Yekeh would bring a great relief to the security sector as he goes about curbing such heinous crimes and that would also help government provide some maximum level of protection to its citizens.
Though some still feel that Yekeh's presence back in the police might derail government's effort in curtailing crimes perpetrated on citizens, nonetheless, most people are of the strong conviction that only tough people can handle tough issues such as the crimes that involve life.
