Port Louis — No, I kid you not. By opting for www.ecofree.net instead of the ubiquitous Google (the former is powered by the latter anyway) you can reduce your energy use without even having to get off your bottom.
Indeed, Ecofree's black screen consumes a miserly 52 watts compared to 77 watts for Google's "traditional" white screen (what's traditional about a multi-billion dollar tech company beats me).
Admittedly, it takes a little time to get used to the black screen but once you've succeeded in doing that (it takes no time at all, actually), you'll never look back.
Apart from contributing to saving those cute polar bears from a harrowing death by drowning, Ecofree's black screen is also a lot easier on the eyes for those "lendemains de veille". Oh and it's refreshingly original too.
