Nairobi — Innocent Simiyu has been named captain of the national rugby team. Simiyu replaces Kenya Harlequin prop Daniel Kiptoo, who steered Kenya to third place in the Africa Rugby Confederation Cup and Elgon Cup titles last year.
National team coach Michael 'Tank" Otieno made the announcement during the team's training session at Rugby Football Union of East Africa ground in Nairobi at the weekend.
