NEEDY pupils in Makindye division recently received materials from the Uganda Children's Centre. The items included files and shoes.

Fred Kakembo, the Uganda Children's Centre programme director in Makindye, said the arrangement aims at promoting education among the less-privileged pupils in society.

"Pupils under this arrangement have managed to further their education. As they advance in their education career, they will be in position to assist others at lower levels," Kakembo said.
