Lagos — Global Formwork, the project initiator of the $600 million Malaysian Gardens Housing project situated in the Saraji District of Abuja will today conduct a site- tour of the progress being made in the on-going construction works at the site to the Nigerian public, a statement from the company has said.
The statement made available to Daily Trust in Lagos said the event billed to hold today would also be used to hold a soft launch ceremony' for the magnificent 14,085 residential housing project.
The soft launch ceremony, which will be chaired by Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Commonwealth Secretary-General, will also have in attendance, as special guest of honour, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar, Minister for the Federal Capital Territory; Senator Ikechukwu Obiora, Chairman, Senate committee on Housing and Habitat; Hon.Dr Shehu Garba Matazu Chairman House committee on Housing and Habitat; the chairman and managing director of EXIM Bank of Malaysian and a host of other top government functionaries and industrialists from the organised private sector.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Mr James Wong Po Kwan, managing director of Global Formwork (Nigeria) Limited, the project handlers; said "the Malaysian Gardens Housing project consists of different house types that have been thoughtfully designed by international architects in collaboration with Nigerian professionals". The project, he further said, offers six choices of residential units, ranging from affordable/stylish apartments to luxurious terrace and semi-detached houses, high-class exclusive single storey and double storey bungalows.
