Suffolk University Dakar, Senegal, has introduced its undergraduate 2007/2008 admission programme to Nigerian students who desire to study at the institution.

Associate Director of Admissions, Ms Cynthia Anani told newsmen in Lagos , recently that the university is a private, fully accredited United States institution with campuses in Boston , Dakar and Madrid .

Thousands of students from the United States and around the world have been educated in the school, while about 1, 000 others from 100 countries are currently enrolled in all the three campuses. Students, she said, could decide to spend two years in Dakar and complete their education in Boston for a four -year course. Anani said admission is based on the level of and range of high school courses selected grades achieved, Student Admission Test ( SAT ) or Accepted College Test ( ACT) scores, recommendations as well as an essay adding that applicants should have completed the following courses during high school ; four units of English, two units of Science and foreign language, as well as four units distributed among other college preparatory electives.

Students are required to submit an official copy of all records of academic course work which include secondary school records with courses taken and grades received, records from each college or university attended showing the number of lectures and grades received and official documents verifying the awarding of certificates with the title and date. ", she said

The Associate Director also said applicants can submit the first year common application for 2007-2008, together with the university's supplemental information form and $50 application fee electronically at www.suffolk.edu.
