The Chairman of Unity Party's Quardu Gboni, Mr.Abrahim Dukuly, has appealed to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf through the Public Works Ministry to extend the Barkedu Road Project to other parts of Quardu Gboni District.

Mr. Dukuly, in a release also lauded President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for the rehabilitation of the Barkedu Road and prayed that such should be extended to other parts of the district.

Mr. Dukuly praised President Sirleaf for her commitment towards unifying the country after years of civil conflict, which was characterized by hatred, destruction of lives and properties.

He said the decision by the President to have a cabinet retreat throughout the length and breath of the country is a clear manifestation of the Liberian leaders' resolve to bring the people together irrespective of their political or ethnic affiliation.

The UP Quardu Gboni District Chairman then commended President Sirleaf for her recent visit to Barkedu Town in Lofa County.

Meanwhile, Mr Dukuly has called on the President to ignore her detractors, whose comments have the potential to discredit "a credible system", noting that it is time for all well-meaning Liberians to rally behind the President to move the country forward.
