The Foundation for International Dignity (FIND) yesterday officially launched the Integrating Human Rights Concept into Local Community Leadership Project in Grand Gedeh County with funding from the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA).

Two officials of FIND, Roosevelt AK Woods, National Program Coordinator, and Dixon Psio Gblah, Regional Program Officer, announced that under the OSIWA Project, adequate awareness would be created along with sensitization for local community residents such as students, youth and women groups, local authorities and community-based organizations in human rights promotion, protection and advocacy standards in the entire southeastern part of the country.

They said FIND also intends to form partnership with opinion leaders, social groups, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Churches and Mosques at community level for their intervention on the rights of the people.

Over 50 key stakeholders including community leadership, youth and women groups participated in the launching of the program.

They said stakeholders would also be identified, sensitized and mobilized to help drive the process of community participation in the launching of the program.
