The deputy director-general for information of the Angolan state-run news agency ANGOP, Luisa Damiao, is since Tuesday in Cabinda, for a four-day visit to assess the work of the company's office in this northern province.

This tour is part of the aid and control programme meant to assess the level of functioning of the local office, under ANGOP's strategy to improve work conditions and quality.

Luisa Damiao is to be received in audience on Wednesday by Cabinda's governor, Anibal Rocha, and meet the provincial director of Social Communication, Pedro Sia, and the ruling MPLA Secretary for Information and Propaganda, Afonso Maria Vaba.

Visits to the local offices of ANGOP, the public television (TPA) and radio station (RNA), as well as the Cabinda Commercial Radio and the building works of a Press Club are also on her agenda.
