Asmara — In continuation of efforts being exerted by the Ministry of Information to upgrade the skill of its workforce, 100 staff members graduated today upon completion of a six-month training course on journalism as well as the English and Arabic languages.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony at the Hager Media Hall within the premises of the Ministry, Mr. Girmai Berhe, director general of Radio Department, indicated that the course was given by experienced staff members of the Ministry and that it is at the level of the certificate course offered at the Mai-Nefhi College of Science and Technology. Stating that the course included over 20 different subjects, he called on the graduates to strive for enriching their newly acquired skills.
Also speaking on the occasion, the head of human resource development, Mr. Girmai Woldegergis, noted the significance of offering courses focusing on upgrading language skills in media work.
Representatives of the graduates on their part lauded the initiative taken by the Ministry to upgrade the skill of staff members at substantial expense. They further asserted that they would live up to expectation. The director general of Television Department, Mr. Asmelash Abraha, the director general of Press and News Agency Department, Mr. Mohammed Omar Suba, and the director general of Radio Department, Mr. Girmai Berhe, handed certificates to the graduates.
It was also disclosed that the Ministry is providing training course to senior editors on advanced digital graphics.

that was good news to listen young eritrean are graduated from media skills which is important to promote our external relations of different aspects.but my opinion here is wot about developing the access of internal relations means through our multi lingual eritrean societies by thier own languages .i think it would be the main sources of unity of our people if there was participations of different native langueges in this newly promoting programme.thank you very much
