Nigeria: NTDC Presents Golf Book

1 May 2008

Lagos — The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) has moved another step in supporting the game of golf in Nigeria.

NTDC, knowing it full well that the game of golf attracts major tourists from the world over, recently published a book that covers major golf courses in Nigeria. The book is primarily meant to showcase the over 50 golf courses to foreigners who are usually at loss when it comes to where they can play their golf in Nigeria.

The book essentially covers every area of the game. There is a vivid history on the game in Nigeria and the personality that brought the game to the country. There is a story on how the game relates to tourism in the country. The book touches on the six best golf courses in Nigeria. There are sections on major courses in Nigeria. And there is another section that touches on golf personalities in Nigeria... all decked in their golf attires. Here, you will see the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, teeing it off while decked in full 'agbada'.
