Nigeria: Poor GSM Service - Reps to Monitor N4b Compensation Payment

Abuja — The House of Representatives Committee on Communications yesterday said it would ensure that the N4billion compensation imposed on the Global System of Mobile Telecommunication (GSM) operators by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) was effected.

The NCC recently imposed the fine on GSM operators following the epileptic service they render to subscribers, adding that they would conduct public hearings on the matter in the six geo-political zones to enable subscribers express their opinion on the services rendered by the operators.
