Angola: Police Seize War Material in Huambo

Huambo — Police in Huambo Province have seized several war materials in illegal possession of civilians, in an operation held on April 21-28 this year, ANGOP has learnt.

The materials were seized in Bailundo, Mungo and Katchiungo districts and comprise two Akm guns, 29 ammunitions, an anti-personnel mine, two RPG-7 projectiles, among others.

The Police say that 76 Akm firearms, one riffle, 1,180 ammunitions, one anti-personnel mine, two projectiles, three grenades were voluntarily handed over to the corporation, in Ekuma, Bailundo and Huambo districts, in the same period.

Other 71 Akm firearms, 4,080 ammunitions, three Vog-25 projectiles and three grenades came from people of Huambo, Caala and Londuimbali.
