Tshepiso Seopa

Sibusiso Leope, better known as DJ Sbu, is officially back on the YFM airwaves - this after speculation, denials and even a podcast stating that DJ Sbu will not be joining YFM or any radio station but was exploring other opportunities off air since he left SABC's Ukhozi FM in March 2008.

This morning, Monday, 5 May at 6am, Sbu officially served breakfast on the youth FM "Y Lens".

Throughout the weekend, Y DJs spoke about 5 May as the day when Sbu would be coming back on the radio station to finish the unfinished business.

On his first day at work in Rosebank, Johannesburg, the prodigal son took listeners on a trip down memory lane, playing hits of days gone by. He paid tribute to the late Fana 'Khabzela' Khaba and raised funds for Khabzela's tombstone. Khaba is a former breakfast host at YFM who passed away in 2004 from an Aids-related illness.
