It was all tears at St Johns Cathedral in Fort Portal Town and Kijura, the home of the late Brig. Noble Mayombo as Tooro remembered her son who died at Nairobi International Hospital on May 1, 2007.

Wailing interrupted the service organised in memory of Mayombo at the cathedral. "How can the report take a whole year without being released? How does government think we are feeling as friends and relatives of the late?" different people who attended the service were heard murmuring.

The dean of the cathedral, the Rev. Patrick Kyaligonza, said it was important that the death report be published. "We lost our son and that is all. But what we are saying is that we want the report of his death," Rev. Kyalogonza said.

During Mayombo's burial at Kijura last year, President Yoweri Museveni who said he was shocked and touched by the death of one his loyal and young soldiers, promised to appoint a team of experts to investigate the cause of the brigadier's death.

The team, which included Brig. Rusoke was headed by Col. Mugira.

"If according to the Minister of Defence, Dr Crispus Kiyonga, the report detailing the cause of the death of our son is out.

Why can't it be given to the public so that Ugandans can know what killed Brig. Mayombo," Rev. Kyaligonza said.
