Kampala — NICO Insurance has paid sh450m to Dooba Enterprises as compensation for damages caused after floods destroyed one of its warehouses, writes Charles Bwogi.
Dooba, importers of hardware and general merchandise, lost goods when one of their warehouses on Entebbe Road was flooded last November last year.
"Dooba had a comprehensive fire and flood insurance cover, which fully protected them against this loss and type of risk," Ronald Zake, the managing director, said while handing over the cheque to Dooba's manager, Charles Nazoba.
Zake appealed to the business community to always insure their businesses fully.
