Angola: African Portuguese-Speaking Technicians Analyse Cooperation

African Portuguese-Technicians from African Portuguese-speaking Countries (PALOP), East Timor and the European Commission (EC) are gathered here to prepare the documentation for the meeting of the national ordaining officials scheduled for Tuesday in the Angolan capital.

The ordaining meeting has as objective to proceed with the assessment of the cooperation between PALOP and the European Commission, in the ambit of the programme that is being carried out in the last five years.

Speaking to Angop, the director of the technical unit for ACP/EU cooperation of the Planning Ministry, Carlos Eloy, informed that the technical meeting is assessing the projects carried out in the 8th and 9th European Development Fund.

The technicians are also analysing the projects that will be launched at PALOP level, as well as the future programme for 2009/2013 period.

Meeting of the kind is held annually in each PALOP member countries in a rotating system and by alphabetical order.

The last meeting happened in Sao Tome and Principe, in 2007.
