A delegation of the work team of the ruling MPLA party's electoral campaign led by its assistant co-ordinator, João Lourenço, left this Tuesday morning for central Benguela province, to learn about the preparations of the rally to happen next May 17.

Speaking to the press at "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, MPLA's secretary for Information, Norberto dos Santos "Kwata Kanawa" informed that the delegation will meet with the party officials in that province, as well as learn about the way how new militants are being sensitised to enter the party.

He reminded that MPLA will hold on Friday and Saturday its 3rd National Conference, which is expected to gather 1,500 delegates elected at provincial meetings, to outline the electoral strategy of this party and discuss about the governance project.

He specified that amongst the delegates, 124 are not members of the party and belong to different sectors, invited due to their technical and professional capacities, in order for them to give their contribution to MPLA's governance project for the 2009-2012 quadrennial.
