Mochudi Centre Chiefs continued their uncompromising form on Tuesday night as they added to Notwane's woes by beating them 2-1. The Kgatleng side looks ready to complete a historic win with an unbeaten 30 league games.

Chiefs surprised everybody when they went for the kill and played all their best players save for those out injured and suspended.

Chiefs was also propelled by the presence of their Israeli sponsor, Moti Ganz, who watched the team he is sponsoring for the first time since announcing his marriage to the side. Moti Ganz also addressed the players for the first time in one of the rare public appearances that he attends. The Israeli apparently congratulated the players on winning the league and was expected to formalize what he will do for the team apart from the t-shirts he had given the club to sell.

From the start it showed that the game was going to be a thriller as Notwane's Barnes Radipotsane and former teammate now Chiefs skipper, Pontsho Moloi, showed no signs of brotherhood. Radipotsane earned himself a yellow card for being too hard on his former team-mate and referee Uyapo Julius didn't hesitate to restore order by booking Radipotsane just a few minutes after cautioning former Notwane player, Gobonyeone Selefa, now a regular at Chiefs.

Notwane should have been the happier side at recess as they had managed to hold Chiefs to a goalless first 45 minutes. Matenge Sefedile replaced Dirang Moloi, who looked unfit at halftime. Former Rollers speedy dribbling wizard Sekhana Koko could have opened the scoring for Chiefs after going past a cluster of defenders but saw his shot deflecting wide. His effort was, however, came to naught as Premier league top goal scorer, Jerome Ramatlhakwana, scored from the resultant corner taken by captain Moloi. With 35 minutes to go, Notwane started pilling pressure on Chiefs, which was minus Elijah Phiriepa due to injury and Jabu Pilane.

It wasn't a surprise as Notwane's striker, Langson Fichola, equalized for Notwane a few minutes after Chiefs had taken the lead. Chiefs coach Beston Chambesi replaced his top goal scorer Ramathakwane with Mara Moloi. Stanley Tsolope also replaced Koko.

Chiefs scored their winning goal from another corner taken by Moloi and this time it was this season's serious contender for the player of the series contender, Oteng Moalosi, who netted a replica of the goal he scored against Township Rollers, to cancel what could have been his side's first loss. The only difference was that this time the goal was scored with at least 10 minutes to go.

Chiefs' coach, Chambesi, looks to be going all the way to protect the clubs unbeaten record. The Zambian does not, however, want to be drawn into commenting about his team's unbeaten run. "The league is still on and we are left with two games. It is not over yet," he said. Chiefs' remaining games are against Police X1 and Tafic.
