Abidjan

The Angolan military attaché in Côte d'Ivoire, brig. João Nassone, Tuesday in Abidjan, granted an audience to his counterpart of Burkina Faso, col. Ouedraogo Boureima, with whom he discussed the situation prevailing in the host country.

During the audience, held on the premises of the Angolan embassy, the two diplomats exchanged views on matters of common interest, namely the wish to see Côte d'Ivoire settle the political and military crisis and start the process of national reconstruction.

Regarding the social and political situation prevailing in Cote d'Ivoire, the Angolan official encouraged his counterpart, as from the country mediating in the current peace process, to play an important role, in order to contribute for a quick stabilisation of the situation in that West Africa country.

In his turn, Ouedraogo Boureima showed the interest that both countries cooperate in the defence sector, through the share of experience, mainly in the ambit of military training.
