Angola: Six People Drown in First Quarter

Namibe — Six people drowned during the first quarter of 2008 in the south-west Namibe province, ANGOP learnt this Tuesday from the head of the provincial fire-fighters department, Esperança Tete Vasco.

According to Esperança Vasco, the deceased citizens were all adults, and four of them were found dead at beaches of the provinces and two at lagoons. The amount represents an increase of a corpse compared to the first quarter of 2007.

The provincial fire-fighters department counts on 22 workers who are distributed into the districts of Namibe and Tômbwa. Virei, Camucuio and Bibala do not have representations of this State organ.
